Liz Rowsell is the Chief Technology Officer for Johnson Matthey (JM) and a member of the Global Leadership Team. She leads technology, innovation and R&D. Liz collaborates closely with colleagues in universities both in the UK and globally and represents JM on Industry Advisory Boards. She has held various Board positions and she is currently on the Boards of the Henry Royce Institute and the Society of the Chemical Industries (SCI).

During her career Liz has worked on a wide range of technology including the design of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts for fine chem and pharma.  With teams in JM she is focused on developing technologies for hydrogen production and use, conversion of renewable feedstocks to chemicals, and the abatement of harmful gaseous emissions – all supporting the use of sustainable chemistry for a healthier world.
